The end of part 2 made me just continue to read on to part 3 because this part was the climax that we all waited for. To see Beatty as an enemy was kind of a scary thing. The fact that he knew so much about books and literature he tend to not accept it. His personality is strong and fierce-some and I like his character. His knowledge and wisdom is vast and it is amazing how he tricks Guy into everything. He plans very well ahead. I love his choose of words and how he describes the fire. Reading the part about how he describes fire was just simply amazing. Even at the last moments of his life, he quoted and mocked Guy. His guts are strong...

This is where the story gets more interesting! After all the boring background and setting of the book, the author finally starts to solve his problems and choose his dilemmas. After he starts to read the books, he attitude changed and his tone of speaking changed too. He changed from being just not certain about his beliefs to where he was stone stubborn about his idea
 of book. Not only that, he became more sensitive when people had not used wisdom to judge things. However, a more powerful rival was there to stop him.  At that point I could tell that Guy was being tested and watched by Beatty. Beatty had hinted him before with all that thinking and thought about his kind of society.

Fahrenheit 451 p1

The book has a very well-built reality created society. It has a very beginning that makes us wonder what is really wrong with this society, making us think more about the book. At first, the protagonist brings us to a world that lives in with a life not much to think about. Later the author gives more and more problems to the protagonist causing him to do something about the socialism. Ray Bradbury also use many figurative languages to describe the many scenes inside such as when his wife was attacked he used it as a cobra attacking. It is interesting in some parts but when he goes really descriptive and using so many twist and turns it makes me fall asleep.

Part one of the book tells all the struggling he is suffering and gives us a clear background and setting of the book. This part does seem more peaceful in so society, however, over time the protagonist gains more and more dilemmas as he continuous thinks about his Justice.  

Away from school

Two weeks away from school made me felt like I wanted to never come back to school again. After graduation many people feels like something they haven't done in their life time. If it was after my graduation I would spend my summer away from Taiwan, on an island like a paradise and work my everyday at the beach. It may sound stupid, but I want to enjoy the freedom and relax without thinking about school work or other things. I might want to choose Hawaii or the southern islands.
If that dream isn't available then I would spend a year or half a year working small jobs and go around Europe. I would enjoy the fun of traveling and living like as free as I like.

After the Trip

After two weeks of a vacation in Malaysia and Singapore, I found how amazing how the two places are. Just apart for about 40 years Singapore's whole education system and government bureaucracy  is far better than Malaysian. Not only that, Singapore has a clean environment with many laws with heavy punishments. However, unlike many countries, Singapore's government support their citizens fully with their taxes they pay. Many exchange students come from different countries and most of the money is paid by their government in the education. One thing I think it was worth it was the food. Even though its food is far more expensive than taiwan, it's MC is way better than Taiwan's. During the 5 days of Singapore I learned alot about their whole country and why they were able to success as a small country.

In Mayasia, one big difference was the dirty environment and many people still not able to live a life like Singapore, such as city life or more modernly. Overall I think I would still like to go back to Singapore and would like to spend some time there too. 

Something new about Malaysia

This week I learned something about Malaysia before going. It was about an article when the Malaysian hating homosexuals. At first, I did not know that there was still a country that would have strict laws about homosexuals. It was interesting because I thought Christians would have a more of a discriminate against the homosexuals. However, I think as time goes on many religions will accept the homosexuals existences.

To take away wonderful music due to the reason of their lyrics and beliefs are just wrong. There many be many people change their religions beliefs because of Lady Gaga, however restricting a law saying that her music isn't allowed is going to cause many people to change their thoughts about their government.

It is an interesting fact to know before going to Malaysia. We might make many people have a deceiving look even when we are joking around.

Macbeth- Reflection

For a long time, I have always wondered what kinds of work Shakespeare did. In the past, many of my teachers had taught more modern writings such as Ray Bradbury. This year however was my first time experiencing the old ancient William Shakespeare?

After reading Macbeth, I figured why so many people in the past had wanted to watch his plays as well as build a theater just for his plays. I love how the story starts with a very dark and murderous conversation with the witches. The excitement of reading Macbeth is like the same as reading a horror book.  It is amazing how over 500 years ago there is an famous writer with the ability to influence us even up till today.

In story, Macbeth to me seems not like a king. He fears his rivals, his wife, and his own fate. He should have a stronger mind to fight against them. His fear lead him down to despair, letting himself fall into his own darkness. He even killed many of people they once trust. The whole story basically tells how he own fate turned around when he did the wrong thing.
