Reflections

To tell the truth I really dislike reading the abridged version of Romeo and Juliet. Having to read such amazing love story should be read in the original version with the detail in each love scene. Before reading this I always thought of Romeo Juliet was an really really touching story but after reading the abridged version I felt that's it? Rather than touching story I think it is missing many love scenes and times together where I can see how they really love each other. I am also confused about some parts of the story where Romeo just has to kill people. Why couldn't he just injure that person instead of making himself a criminal where he said he had no intentions of fighting.

Considering the background of that time Romeo would be someone where he is over taking importance in love. Back then, women were still considered the lower class in which Romeo risked his life trying to be with Juliet. Some may say this is true love, however he said the same when he was in love with Roseline.

I was kinda disappointed in the story of Romeo and Juliet where I really thought of it as an touching, love story. The plot to me was short and less exciting compared to our modern love stories. This is my thought of this book, however one thing I did like was I learn the story of a classic love story where everyone knows.
